I'm Anne, a qualified Dyslexia Specialist Teacher and Assessor with several years’ experience helping individuals overcome learning challenges. My approach is tailored, structured, and multi-sensory, enabling learners of all ages to develop confidence and achieve their full potential.
Based in the heart of Lincolnshire, I live with my son and our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lily, who often adds a calming presence to sessions. I hold a degree in Linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), a Level 5 Specialist Teaching Qualification in Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), a Level 7 PGCert in SEND and Inclusion: Dyslexia Assessment, and an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) with MDG accreditation from The Dyslexia Guild.
As a proud member of The Dyslexia Guild and The British Psychological Society (BPS), I am committed to maintaining the highest professional standards. Through ongoing professional development, I stay up to date with the latest research and evidence-based approaches to ensure the support I provide is both informed and effective.
Inspired by my family’s experiences with dyslexia and autism, I understand first-hand that learning journeys are not always straightforward. My late father, who was both autistic and dyslexic, taught me to read using flashcards, and later in life I attended evening classes to gain my English O-level before eventually earning my degree at the age of 54. These experiences have shaped my belief that with the right support, everyone can succeed.
